A typical snow blower tune-up includes:
Change the oil.
Tune up the engine
Set the tire pressure
Check the Drive Disc
Change the spark plug(s)
Clean or replace the air filter
Check or replace the fuel filter
Clean the block and cooling fins
Check and adjust the drive system
Ultrasonically clean the carburetor
Check, replace and adjust the drive belt(s)
Check, replace and adjust the auger belt(s)
Test or service the recoil and electric starting system
Check and adjust discharge chute operation
Check and adjust the Drive engagement
Check and adjust the Auger engagement
Set, Adjust or replace the skid shoes
Set, Adjust or replace the cutting bar
Check the bearings and pulleys
Rebuild the carburetor if needed
Run, test and adjust as needed
We look at your snow blower as if it were our own. If we can find ways to help save you money, we will suggest them to you. If we do not feel it is worth repairing, we will tell you.
The labor cost of a snow blower tune-up is $199.95 plus the parts
The average snow blower tune-up is around $225 to $250
To provide faster turnaround time, we ask you to approve service and repair charges up to $300, excluding delivery and pickup. If the repair or service will exceed $350, we will provide an estimate. This allows us to offer faster, more efficient service and allows the technicians to take care of minor issues they might find as they service your snow blower.
